Joyce A. Tomlinson

Joyce Ann Tomlinson, 83, of Clayton passed away on November 7, 2024 surrounded by loving family members.  She was born on June 22, 1941 in Jennings County, IN to Maurice and Clara Lumpkins.  Joyce was raised by her step father, Tony Marchiando and Clara until she married Omer Tomlinson on March 25, 1961.  She retired from Duke Energy after 25 years as a mapping coordinator.  Joyce loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.  Her favorite pass time was decorating her house for all the holidays.  Joyce enjoyed cooking and making birthday cakes for her family members.  She always was dressed head to toe in her "Bling Bling" jewelry.  Joyce belonged to the Harmony Baptist Church and the Eagles # 1302.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Omer Tomlinson and her son, Mike Tomlinson.  Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at 1:00 PM in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home where friends can visit from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 PM.  Burial will follow in Clayton Cemetery.  Survivors include her son, Allen Tomlinson; siblings, Mary Jane White, George and John Marchiando; grandchildren, Alex, Tevin (Nicole) and Baylee Tomlinson; great grandchild, Nora Tomlinson; nephews, Donnie and Brian; nieces, Susie, Rebecca and Abby.
