Joyce Blankinship Obituary

Joyce was born April 26, 1942 in Austell, Georgia, the daughter of the late John Samuel Waters and the late Wilene Wehunt Waters. She was a dietician for Cobb County Schools and then Wellstar at both Cobb and Douglas. Joyce enjoyed reading and crocheting. She loved taking care of and spending time with her grandsons. Joyce's steadfast faith was nurtured at Concord Baptist Church, where she was a dedicated member for over 30 years. She taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible school.
Joyce is survived by her husband of 65 years, Doyle Blankinship of Villa Rica, son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Nancy Blankinship of Villa Rica, grandchildren, Brian and Bradley Blankinship both of Villa Rica.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Concord Baptist Church.
Funeral Service will be conducted Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at 2:00 PM from Concord Baptist Church with Rev. Joey Dedman, Rev. Don Rackley and Rev. Sam Clark officiating.
Interment will follow in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery Jason Palmer, Brian Blankinship, Brad Blankinship, Joseph Mitchell, Chuck Blankinship and Don Scoggins serving as pallbearers.
