It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Joyce M. Browder. She departed this life on May 30th, 2025.
Joyce was born on August 30th, 1931, in West Monroe, Louisiana. She was the cherished youngest child of Wilmer and Verlie Covington, completing their family of five children. "
For those who knew her, Joyce was a woman defined by her warmth and generosity."
She had a deep love for cooking. She always made sure her family was well-fed, ensuring that no one ever went hungry. Her kitchen was the heart of our home, filled with love and the aroma of delicious meals."
"More than anything, Joyce was a selfless person. She consistently put the needs of others before her own, always there to lend a helping hand or offer a comforting word.
Also preceded in death by her first husband, George Elliott Hayslip, second husband, Lavelle Browder and daughter, Teresa Browder.
Survivors include her three children, Shelton (Debbie) Hayslip, Sheryl (Richard) Lowery, and Karen Babin; grandchildren, Ryan Hayslip, John Weston Battaglia and Colin Browder; six great grandchildren, as well as sister-in-laws, that were like sister, Tommie Hayslip Thompson, Betty Hayslip Williams, Joyce Hayslip Darley, and Sharon Hayslip Craft. We would like to recognize her longtime companion, Rick Daily.
"Momma may be gone from this life, but she will forever remain in our hearts."
