Joyce Burnette Obituary
Joyce Burnette, 83, of Commerce and former longtime resident of Winterville, died June 28, 2024.
Joyce was the daughter of the late Oliver and Mattie Mae Anthony Johnson. She was retired, having worked in nursing her entire career. She and her husband enjoyed many years camping.
The family will receive friends at Lord and Stephens, EAST, Sunday, June 30, 2024 beginning at 2:00 PM. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM in the chapel with Rev. Terry Kesling officiating. Interment will be at Athens Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Jake Smith, Colton Smith, Charlie Arnold, Chris McKenzie, Ken Phillips and Jonathan Thibodeaux.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Austin Burnette, a number of nieces and nephews and other extended family.
Arrangements by Lord and Stephens, EAST.
