Joyce Marie Cale

The family of Joyce Marie Cale, age 79 of Cambridge, Ohio is saddened to announce her passing on Friday, December 11th.

Joyce was born on September 25th, 1946, daughter of the late Earl Pearson and Grace (Cantor) Pearson.

She was a member of the Lore City Methodist Church and grew up in Lore City until she met the love of her life, William "Bill" Cale. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Her life revolved around her family and friends.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Grace Pearson, her beloved husband Bill Cale and her brother Monte Pearson.

Surviving are her two sons, Troy (Shelly) Cale of Cambridge, Brent (Kris) Cale of Pickerington, three grandchildren, Ethan (Emma) Cale, Gavin Cale and Natalee Noche (Justin Selby) and a great grandson, Lucas Selby.

Joyce was an avid cook and believed "food was love". She was passionate and dedicated to cooking and baking for family and friends. She loved reading her cookbooks, shopping and going out to eat. Joyce was employed by Cambridge City Schools as a cook for many years and was always kind and generous to all the kids at school.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Theo's Restaurant (632 Wheeling Ave. Cambridge) on Saturday, January 10 2026 from 11:00a-2:00p.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites you, if the opportunity arises, to honor her life by showing kindness to someone less fortunate.
