Joyce E. Carpenter, beloved mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2026, at the age of 94 at home. Born on August 11, 1931, to the late Joseph Petry and Stella (Plasterer) Lime, in Lebanon, Joyce spent her life in the community she cherished, where she was known for her unwavering kindness and vibrant spirit.As a seamstress in the garment industry, Joyce showcased her creative talents and was dedicated to her craft. She found joy in traveling to new places, relaxing at the beach, and curling up with a good book. An avid animal lover, especially of cats, she often shared her home with her furry companions, who brought her much joy and comfort.Joyce is survived by her three sons, Kim Carpenter and his wife Debbie Phillips, David Carpenter, and Mark Carpenter. She was a proud grandmother to Kim L. Carpenter, Rachel Carpenter-Dickerson, Travis Saul, and Derek Hayworth, and a cherished great-grandmother to Gavyn Weikel, Leo Sands, Bodhi Hayworth, Violet Hayworth, Jayda Saul, and Raige Saul. She is also survived by her devoted sisters, Kathleen Keller and Rosemary Sanders. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry S. Carpenter; son Larry S. Carpenter, Jr.; siblings Christine Fox, Joseph Petry and Thomas Petry.Viewing will be on Monday, January 19, 2026 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Christman's Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with viewing from 1:00-2:00. Graveside services will follow services at Grand View Memorial Park, Annville.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Lebanon County, 150 N.
