Joyce Cornelius, age 84, of Brookville, died Saturday, August 12, 2023 at the Brookville Healthcare Center in Brookville.
Born May 17, 1939 in Richmond, Kentucky she was the daughter of the late William Herbert & Mary Elizabeth (Green) Stone. On July 23, 1960 she was united in marriage to George W. Cornelius, and he preceded her in death on August 7, 2011.
She was a member of the Calvary Church in Brookville. In her leisure time she enjoyed sewing, family get-togethers, as well as attending church.
Survivors include three daughters, Sharon Conner and Lisa Cornelius both of Brookville, Indiana, Pamela (Harvey) Wells of Oxford, Ohio; a sister, Paulette (Linden) Rader of Camden, Ohio; a brother, Ricky (Mary) Stone of Oxford, Ohio; six grandchildren, Chad (Krissy) Conner, Michael (Kalah) Conner, Tara Cornelius, Beth Wells, Joyce Wells, Rebekah Wells; as well as 11 Great-grandchildren, Sierra Wasson, Caden Conner, Paige Conner, Chase Conner, Everett Conner, Brendon Conner, Keaton Conner, Lillie Riggle, Madison Riggle, Payton Dill, Holden Clifford.
In addition to her parents, and husband George, she was preceded in death by a son, David W. Cornelius.
Family & friends may visit from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at Calvary Church, 12061 State Road 101, Brookville.
Pastor Tom Ellis and Brother Bill Puckett will officiate the Funeral Services on Wednesday, August 16 2023, 3:00 P.M. at Calvary Church in Brookville. Burial will then follow in Sims Cemetery in New Fairfield.
