Joyce K. (Cannon) Evans, age 86, of Ashland City, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was born on July 22, 1939, in Ashland City, Tennessee, to the late William Cannon and Georgia (Davis) Cannon. She was a member of Bethlehem Free Will Baptist Church and worked at Acme Boot, a former cafeteria worker at West Cheatham School and later a homemaker to her family. Her favorite activities included sewing, walking, watching Hallmark movies, cooking Sunday family dinners, and spending time with her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Terry Winford Evans; parents, William and Georgia Cannon; brothers, Willie Ray Cannon, Richard Don Cannon, and Archie Wayne Cannon; and sisters, Judy Webb, Katie Mai Hudgens, and Nancy Newland. She is survived by her son, Carl Evans (Kim); daughter, Gwen Johns (Steve); sisters, Melba Pardue, Betty Winters, Wanda Bates, and Janice Thomas (Rickey); grandchildren, Heather Collier (Eric), Georgia Evans, Matt Johns (Miranda), and Judi Clouse (Hunter); and great grandchildren, Sage, Hazel, Aven, Ezra, and one on the way. Funeral service will be Friday, August 22, 2025, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Matt Johns officiating. Burial will follow in Will Smith Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. Visitation will be Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 3pm-7pm and Friday from 10am till service time of 1pm. Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Cannon, Dean Evans, Eric Collier, Audrey Cannon, Brandon Webb, and Jeff Bates. Honorary pallbearers are Curt Satterfield, Gerald Evans, and Ricky Thomas. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Will Smith Cemetery.
