Joyce Yvonne Fuss Flynn

Joyce Fuss Flynn, 82, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away, Thursday, October 31, 2024, at Viva Senior Living.
Born Monday, December 22, 1941, in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Charles Bernard Fuss and the late Mildred Louise (Wilhide) Fuss.
Joyce graduated from North Hagerstown High School in 1959. She was a member of the Brightwood Homemakers Club and the Red Hat Society and life time member of Christ Reformed Church. She was a longtime volunteer with Washington County Hospital/Meritus Medical Center. Joyce was employed as a field abstractor with NIH and retired from John's Hopkins in 2004.
She is survived by her son, Michael Todd Flynn and wife Lisa of Benovola, MD; daughter, Cynthia Flynn Stottlemyer of Hagerstown, MD; grandchildren, Allison Flynn Honaker and husband David of Chambersburg, PA, Ryan Stottlemyer of Hagerstown, MD, Eric Stottlemyer of Stephens City, VA, Heather Nutter and her father Todd Nutter both of Hedgesville, WV and her grandmother Joann Nutter of Boonsboro, MD; great-grandsons, David Edward Honaker and Ethan Wayne Honaker; sister, Barbara Cianelli of Cumberland, MD; brother-in-law, Richard and Jamie Jackson of Mt. Airy, MD; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Edward Flynn, in 2021; brother, Robert Fuss and sister, Mary Rummel.
Graveside services for Joyce and her husband, Michael's ashes, will be Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at 10:00 am, at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 17636 West Washington Street, Hagerstown, MD.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, MD.
