Joyce LaVonne Haws, 78, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2025. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Memorial Services of Iowa (4208 N. Ankeny Blvd). A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Warren Powers Cemetery in Runnells, Iowa.

Joyce was born on May 13, 1947, in Eldora, Iowa, to Glen and Jane Frohwein. Joyce grew up in Zearing, Iowa on the family farm with her seven siblings.

On April 10, 1966, Joyce married the love of her life, Mike Haws. Over the years, they lived in Roland, Reinbeck, Colo, and Washington before settling in Ogden, Iowa, where they lived on an acreage outside of Ogden. Later to move and reside in Ankeny, Iowa.

Joyce will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and entrepreneurial spirit. Joyce did everything with a purpose. She had a way of making things happen.

She is survived by her husband, Mike; sons, Rod (Lisa) and Jim (Shelly); daughters, Debbie and Jodi; beloved grandchildren, Madison, Hunter, Hudson, Dylan (Caitlyn), Devyn (Andrew), Emily (Alec), CJ, Jaden, Jorden, Ryan, Halie, Bri, Blake and Blair; and great-grandchildren, Winston, Malcolm, Everett, Zariyah, Ryker and Rollins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Jane Frohwein; brothers, Gerald and Kevin; daughter, Audrey; and father and mother-in-law, Lawrence and Enid Haws.
