Joyce M. Kinslow

Joyce Marlene Kinslow, 80, of Lafayette, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025, at Franciscan Health Lafayette. She was born January 30, 1945, in Lafayette, IN, to the late Edward and Viola (Neal) Halsema. Joyce graduated from Battle Ground High School in 1962 and worked at Home Hospital as a Unit Secretary in Postpartum from 1976 until retirement in 2007. She was a member of St. Lawrence Church and enjoyed fishing, gardening, camping and spending time with family. She loved luncheons with her previous coworkers and playing Euchre with the girls.

Surviving are her children Terry J. (Nicki) Kinslow of Wingate, Gayle A. (Ted) Murphy, Toni L. (Tom) Bailey all of Lafayette. Grandchildren Leo (Lauren), Olivia and Eli Murphy, Tara Helton (Bernard Celestine), Daniel Kinslow (Marcus Wilson), Sabrina Kinslow, Great-Grandchildren Hazel and Emilia Murphy, Dominic Gant, and Sage Celestine. Also surviving is her brother Mark A. (Robyn) Halsema of Lafayette, and Sisters-In-Law Linda Halsema and Phyllis Halsema. She had several nieces and nephews. Joyce was preceded in death by her son Matthew E. Kinslow, and brothers Charles Halsema and Harles Halsema.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Rosary will be at 5:00 pm. Mass of Catholic Burial will be at 10:30 am on Friday, December 19, 2025, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 1916 Meharry Street. Interment will be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Joyce's memory.
