Funeral Services will be held Sunday, August 27, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of The Upton Hay Funeral Home with Kenny Westmoreland and Steven Sandlin officiating and interment to follow in the Doc Hall Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Sunday August 27, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until time for the service.
Joyce is survived by her spouse of 57 years, Wm. Hershel Lacy; daughters, Tammy (Steven) Sandlin and LaDonna (Chris) Hix; son, William "Groundhog" Lacy, who preceded her in death; grandchildren, Jessica (Jordan) Fraley, Joshua (Brianna) Lacy, Samantha (Caleb) Huck, Savannah (Randy) Delk, and Wesley Sandlin; Trinity, Jordan, and Silas Lacy; great-grandchildren, Emmett and Ava; aunts and uncles, Reba Moore, Joyce and Fred Scheerscmidt, Georgia May and Jack Collier; cousins, Mike Moore, David Moore, and Angie Eads; brothers and sisters-in- law, Jean and Frank Smith, Larry and Carol Lacy, and Raymond and Wanda Lacy; as well as a host of friends and neighbors who will mourn her passing.
The family has requested XL twin bed sheets, hospital gowns, and small fleece blankets to be donated to the Livingston Gentiva Hospice Foundation. Flowers and plants please contact Growin' Girls on the Square in Celina, TN.
