Joyce Lang

Joyce Lang, age 92 of Saybrook, Ohio, formerly of Brooksville, Florida, peacefully passed away on August 15, 2025. Born on February 25, 1933, in Belfry, Kentucky to the late Alfred and Beatrice Smith (nee Reynolds), Joyce was a devoted homemaker whose lover for her family defined her life. Joyce is survived by her loving sons: Raymond Lang (Georgina), Bruce Lang (Vicki), Robert Lang, and David Lang (Ursula). Along with a legacy of 10 cherished grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 6 great great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her siblings Timothy Smith (Darlene), Leatrice Beckett (Roger), brother-in-law Foy Pate, and sister-in-law Thelma Jean Smith. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Robert Lang, and daughter-in-law Pamela Lang, as well as her siblings Getrude Lillian, Estelle Emmett, Phyllis, Larry, and Margaret-Ann. A vibrant spirit, Joyce and her husband, Bob, embraced life with enthusiasm; they were avid bowlers who participated in numerous leagues and found joy in ceramics. Throughout their married life, they frequently traveled to Michigan enjoying many weekends and weeks with Joyce's sibling, nieces, and nephews. Her retirement years with Bob in Florida were filled with warmth and laughter, creating lasting memories. Above all, Joyce's love for her family was the foundation of her life and she treasured every moment spent with them. A celebration of Joyce's life will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 12pm to 2pm at Monreal Srnick Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd, Eastlake, OH 44095, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember her legacy. Service to begin at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to the Hospice of the Western Reserve. Joyce will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
