In Loving Memory of Joyce Ann (Ball) Loftis May 3, 1939 – April 13, 2025
Joyce Ann (Ball) Loftis, 85, entered into eternal rest on April 13, 2025, at Houston Medical Center. Born in Winfield, West Virginia, on May 3, 1939, Joyce was the beloved daughter of the late Clyde and Thelma (Gibson) Ball.
Early in her career, Joyce worked as a dedicated cook in the public school system for nearly two decades. Her love for cooking and serving others extended far beyond her work, as she found great joy in providing for her family and community. Joyce was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother and great-grandmother, cherished sister, and a faithful Christian woman whose kindness and warmth touched all who knew her.
A longtime and faithful member of Warner Robins Church of Christ, Joyce lived her life with humility, grace, and deep faith. In her quiet moments, she enjoyed reading and spending precious time with her family. Above all, she was a devoted homemaker and nurturer, always putting her loved ones first.
Joyce shared 67 beautiful years of marriage with the love of her life, Garland "Tom" Loftis. Their bond was one of strength, love, and unwavering commitment-a true inspiration to those around them.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her beloved son, Larry W. Loftis; her sisters, Mona L. Wymer, Phyllis Mobley, and Janet Moore; her brother, Clyde "Sonny" Ball; and her brother-in-law, Ed Marion.
Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband, Garland "Tom" Loftis; her sons, Garland T. "Gary" Loftis, Jr. (Agnes), Richard A. Loftis, Sr. (Renee), and Kevin T. Loftis (Leslie); her sister, Connie Marion; her grandchildren, Christine Douglas, Krystle Harris (Joey), Katie Davis (Lance), Ryan Loftis (Kate), Richard "Bubby" Loftis, Jr. (Fadra), and Madison Loftis; her great-grandchildren, Bradley Harris, Nathan Harris, Brandon Loftis, William Loftis, Cameron Douglas, Michael Davis, and Samuel Davis; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will continue to honor her legacy of love.
A service to celebrate Joyce's life will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. Visitation for family and friends will take place one hour prior to the service and immediately afterward. A private family interment will follow at Woodbridge Cemetery in Lexington, South Carolina. Minister Daniel Stearsman will officiate the services.
With love and respect, Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory has been entrusted with the arrangements.
