Joyce Ann Maydak, 80, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2024, at her home in Dorset, Ohio.
She was born on August 29, 1943, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Norman and Catherine (Joyce) Shank.
Joyce graduated from West Tech High School in Cleveland, Ohio.
Joyce married Daniel A. Maydak, Sr., they shared many wonderful years of marriage together before his passing in 2019. Joyce was a homemaker who took great pride in creating a beautiful and loving home where she and Daniel raised their three beloved children.
She enjoyed ceramics, all sorts of crafting, socializing with friends and family and taking day trips with her friends. However, her true source of joy and happiness came from spending quality time with her children and grandkids.
She is survived by her loving children: Daniel Maydak, Darren (Stephanie) Maydak, Sr. and Douglas Maydak; her grandchildren: Darren Jr., Ashlyn, Aimee, Abbey, Liam, and Madison, and her siblings, Mary Ellen (John) Kilbane and Patricia Gunter.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Daniel and her granddaughter, Haley Maydak.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024, from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. with a funeral service to immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. at Czup Funeral Home, 1329 Lake Avenue in Ashtabula, Ohio.
