Ronald Amicone Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home on Mar. 16, 2026.
Ronald Amicone, 55, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026 at Fairview Hospital surrounded by many who loved him.

He was born on August 10, 1970 in Ashtabula, the son of Fortunato Amicone and Alfonzina Ferrando.

A lifelong resident of Ashtabula, Ron was a graduate of Edgewood High School, Class of 1989. He later followed his creative spirit and earned his cosmetology license, graduating from cosmetology school in 1991. Ron spent many years working in the local community, including 11 years at The Avenue and time at the Hair House, where he enjoyed connecting with the many people who sat in his chair.

He was also a member of the Ashtabula Eagles, F.O.E #1463. He found great joy in the simple pleasures of life - especially making his homemade wine, which he loved sharing with family and friends. Ron's home was always open, a place where laughter, stories, and good company were never in short supply. It became a gathering place for those who knew and loved him.

Ronald is survived by his sister-in-law, Donna; nephews, Dominic "Tony"and Jamie L. Amicone;

great-nephew, Marco; his aunts; his uncle; and numerous cousins, including Ida Ashley, who was his longtime caregiver and with whom he made his home.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Dominic Amicone.

A graveside service will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at Greenlawn Memory Gardens Chapel, 3140 E Center St, North Kingsville, OH.

Funeral arrangements were trusted to Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 W. Prospect Rd. Ashtabula, OH. Online obituary and condolences can be made at www.ducro.com.
