New Milford - Joyce Mohni, 79, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Waterbury Hospital after a long illness.
Joyce was born December 1, 1946 in Mount Vernon, New York, the daughter of the late Alfred and Antoinette (Vigliotti) Pizzarello. A devoted mother, she spent the formative years of her children’s lives at home. Professionally, she worked for many years as an office administrator in the banking and healthcare fields and was actively involved in family-owned businesses.
Joyce is survived by her husband of 43 years, Nagi; her two sons, Kareem and Sharif, and Sharif’s wife, Ashley; her sisters, Janet Corrado and Joan Suhr; and Joan’s husband, Ken. She is also survived by a large extended family and many friends.
Arrangements – Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Buckmiller Ford Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at 11:00 AM at New Milford Center Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ann's Place, a nonprofit that provides comfort, support, and resources to people living with cancer and their loved ones by clicking HERE.
