Joyce Lee Parker

Joyce Lee Parker, of Eliot, ME, passed away on March 8 at the age of 85. Born on February 16, 1940, in South Berwick, Maine, Joyce was the youngest of five children to parents Maurice and Marie Pinkham. She completed her education at Berwick Academy and spent many years working at Davidson Rubber/Textron before retiring and taking up roles at Bob's Sporting Goods and Civil Consultants.
Joyce was deeply involved in her community, participating as a cheerleading coach and Boy Scout leader. She enjoyed creative pursuits like cake decorating, painting, and ceramics, and was a member of the Red Hat Society. Known for her lively presence on Facebook, she believed every interaction was a personal message and made sure to respond aptly.
Her most cherished roles were as 'Chocolate Nana,' 'Auntie Joyce,' 'Mom,' and 'Mrs. Parker.' Joyce took great pride in supporting her children, great-nieces, and grandchildren, fostering their growth into confident individuals.
She was predeceased by several family members, including her parents; siblings, Doris, Sandra, and Robert; her husband, Cliff; daughter and son-in-law, G. Jean and Thomas Hargis; son Donald A. Parker; and grandson, Jason Perkins. Joyce is survived by her daughter, Denise Carey and husband, Dan; son Daniel Tehada and his wife, Sharon; and daughter, Darlene Bolduc; sister, Lucille Labonte and partner, Joyce Taylor; as well as many nieces and nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren. She resided at Baron Place in Eliot, Maine for some years prior to her passing.
Friends and family are invited to visit on Friday, March 14, 2025, from 3 PM – 5 PM at Eliot Baptist Church, 912 Dow Hwy, Eliot, ME. A Funeral Service will follow immediately at 5 PM at the Baptist Church. Those attending are welcome to gather in the hall following the service for light refreshments.
