Joyce A. Putney

Joyce A. (Silva) Putney of Carver, MA born on September 19, 1938, passed peacefully on December 11, 2025, in her home surrounded by the family she cherished so deeply.
She joins her Late Husband Richard E. Putney, Parents Charles and Irene Silva, Sister Sandra (Silva) Govoni, Brothers Charles (Bobby) Silva Jr, Steven (Peachy) Silva, Leroy (Roy) Silva, son Richard A. Putney and grandsons Steven R. Putney and Dylan T. Putney in Heaven. She is survived by her beloved sister Linda (Silva) Cazzone of Carver, MA, her devoted children Colleen (Putney) Rice, Steven Putney, and Randy Putney, all of Carver, MA as well as nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews. Joyce's family tree is large and abundant, a true reflection of the love she poured into every generation.
Joyce was known by all who loved her as a woman of immense, unconditional love. She carried a warmth that made everyone feel welcome, safe, and seen. A loving daughter, wife, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother. Joyce's presence was a steady source of comfort and grace. Her heart was her home, and her home was a sanctuary for so many.
A gifted homemaker, Joyce created beauty wherever she went - through her tender care, her artistic hands, and her unwavering devotion to her family. She was a talented seamstress, crafting clothing, quilts, and treasures stitched with love. As a painter, she expressed her gentle spirit through color and canvas, leaving behind creations as timeless as her memory.
Joyce's legacy is one of love, creativity, and deep devotion to family. She will be profoundly missed by all whose lives she touched.
Services will be held on Friday January 9th at 11 am at Halifax Congressional Church 503 Plymouth Street, Halifax, MA 02338. Reception to follow.
