Joyce 'Elaine' Quinton, 71, was born on July 11, 1954, in Muskogee, OK to Loyd and Vivian (Cox) Green, and peacefully passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2025, with her loving family by her bedside. Elaine's hobbies and interests were numerous. Some of them included sitting on her porch swing, watching every bird flutter by. Cardinals and hummingbirds were her favorite to enjoy. She loved shopping and going out to lunch, but she would only stay gone for a few hours before she was ready to go back home and put on her comfy clothes. She never returned any clothes she purchased even if they didn't fit. Elaine loved to babysit her grandchildren and take them to Mac's Drive Inn for an ice cream and a pop after school. She enjoyed preparing the meals for every holiday, especially her famous roast, potatoes and carrots, turkey and dressing, honey ham, dimpsy pudding, baked beans, potato salad, and many other delicious meals for her family. But you could always guarantee the kitchen was fully cleaned up before you took your fifth bite of food. She took pride in spoiling her kids, her grandkids, her great-grandkids, and her husband, Danny. Whether it be with full jars of sugar wafer cookies, getting you out of trouble, or buying you something new for no reason…she wanted everyone in her family to feel special and seen. She was known for her glamorous hair, starched Levi's, love of Dr. Pepper, and buying a new car every three years. More importantly, she was known for her gentle soul, tenacious strength, and fierce love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She asked her husband, Danny, to read her the Bible verse of the day as soon as she woke up every morning--she knew how to start the day off right. Even until the very end, Elaine knew what she wanted and approached life with a little bit of sass and a whole lot of faith. She is now reunited with her father, Loyd Truitt Green, mother Vivian (Cox) Green, granddaughter, Macie Nail, sisters-in-law, Vicki Green, Lois Green, and Patricia Green, and brother-in-law Eddie Quinton.
