Joyce Sue Reed, 63, of Westfield, IN, passed away on January 23, 2026, in Westfield, IN. She was born July 17, 1962, in Greencastle, IN, to the late Jeral Baker and Shirley (Thompson) Baker. After completing her education, she later worked for several years as a dental assistant for several dentists, including Dr. Travelstead in Brownsburg, Dr, Klein here in Indianapolis, and most recently Dr. Brandon Tiek in Carmel .
Joyce will be remembered as a loving mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to many, who had many joys in life. She enjoyed watching old black & white movies (especially Shirley Temple) as well as her work helping others. She also became a regular and beloved fixture at the Mill Tavern in Westfield who even honored her one year by giving her the seat from her favorite stool signed by all her friends.
Joyce is survived by her son, Jerrod Reed; her sisters, Jeretta (Doug) Reynolds and Janet Baker; her Brother Joe (Rosie) Baker. As well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeral and Shirley Baker.
Services for Joyce will be held Saturday February 21, 2026 at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46250. Family and friends are welcome to gather for a visitation from 10:00 am – 12:00pm, with services beginning at 12:00 pm at the funeral home.
