Born in Spartanburg, SC, she was a daughter of the late Lewis David Berryhill and Mae Lillie Mode Berryhill. Jeb was a substitute school teacher. She dearly loved teaching and shaping young minds.
Jeb is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Chaplain Rabbi Howard Schwartz; a son, David Ernest Allen; and two step-sons, Marc Schwartz (Patty) and Benjamin Schwartz.
A memorial service to celebrate Jeb's life will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 in the chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Southeast, 1604 NE Main St., Simpsonville, SC 29681.
Family and friends who are unable to attend the service can view the Livestream by clicking on the "WATCH EVENT" button located in the Services section.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
Friends are encouraged to share their favorite memories of Joyce with the family by clicking on either the "Share a Memory" footer or the word "Tributes" in the dropdown menu.
