Joyce Mae Soignier

Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce Mae Soignier will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 30, 2022, in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale, with Reverend Greg Willis officiating. Interment will follow in Resthaven Cemetery, Oakdale, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Mrs. Soignier, 78, of Oakdale, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, in her residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed traveling with her daughters, gardening, fishing, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren. Joyce had a deep love for her Lord and Savior. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Smith, Sr. and Gladys Smith; one brother, Danny Ray Smith; and three brothers-in-law, David Stalsby, Michael Ritter and Ronald Duplechain.
Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include her loving husband of forty-one years, Joe Soignier of Oakdale; three daughters, Rhonda Andrews, and husband Mark, of Marion, Donna Regan of Lake Charles, and Jaime Johnson, and husband Patrick, of Oakdale; two stepsons, Michael Soignier, and wife Mandy, of Shreveport and Robert Soignier, and wife Angie, of Texas; two stepdaughters, Brenda Warner, and husband John, of Nevada, and Theresa Turner, and husband Greg, of West Monroe; two brothers, Lawrence Smith, Jr., and wife Janine, of Iowa, and Patrick Smith of Iowa; four sisters, Nell Stalsby of Oakdale, Eula Ritter, and husband Beau, of Iota, Betty Duplechain of Oakdale, and Faye Smith of Iota; one sister-in-law, Becky Smith; six grandchildren, Dustin, Dereck, Hailey, Lexi, Heidy and Cohen; and two great grandchildren, Conner and Paislee.
A time of visitation will be held at Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale on Thursday, September 29, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Visitation will resume in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale, on Friday, September 30, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
Pallbearers honored to serve are: Mark Andrews, Patrick Johnson, Dustin Andrews, Dereck Stanley, Trey Johnson, Corey Stalsby and Robert Soigner.
