Joyce Ann Spalding, age 87 of Lebanon, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, on Thursday, January 04, 2024 at her home. She was born May 02, 1936 in Lebanon to the late Thomas and Chloe Mattingly. Joyce was a retired seamstress from Jane and Linda. She was a graduate of St. Charles High School; and a member of Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Paul Spalding Jr.; daughter, Karen White; and siblings, Libby Thompson, Joe Mattingly, Pat Mattingly, and Mike Mattingly.
Survivors include her son, Brian (Renee) Spalding of Lebanon; daughters, Kathy (Mike) Thompson and Janet (Frank) Southall, both of Lebanon; grandchildren, Matt (Nicole) Thompson, Derrick (Olivia) Thompson, Kelly Gaunce, Patrick White, Chloe (Tyler) Whipkey, Michael (Abigail) Southall, Christopher Southall, John Southall, Dylan Spalding, and Satchel Spalding; and great-grandchildren, Logan, Cade, Lily, Ann Preslee, Connor, Karsyn, Davis, Turner, Silas, Eli, Andrew, and Henry.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 08, 2024 at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church, 3295 New Calvary Road, Lebanon, KY 40033. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Sunday, January 07, 2024 at Bosley Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. officiated by Deacon Joseph R. Dant.
Pallbearers are her grandsons, Matt Thompson, Derrick Thompson, Patrick White, Michael Southall, Christopher Southall, John Southall, Dylan Spalding, and Satchel Spalding.
