Joyce Elaine Stillwell

Joyce Elaine Stillwell, 76, of Scottsburg, Indiana, formerly of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born in Princeton, Indiana, the daughter of the late Quentin Goldman and the late Betty Goldman both of Mount Carmel, Illinois. She graduated from Mount Carmel High School Class of 1967. She was employed by the Clothing Factory in Albion, IL and in Mount Carmel until her marriage to Dale Stillwell, Jr in 1970. They lived and worked in Indiana, Michigan and Illinois during their long-married life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Quentin and Betty Goldman; her older brother, Larry Goldman; two sisters-in-law, Gracia Goldman, wife of Gary and Louise Goldman, wife of Larry.
Joyce will be remembered by her husband of fifty-four years, Dale O. Stillwell, Jr.; wonderful daughter, Melinda Mount and husband, Christian of Columbus, IN; grandsons, Xavier Coats, Zerach (Kelsey) Coats, and Zidon Coats of Henryville, IN; one sister, Rita (Louis) Seaton of Mount Carmel; one brother, Gary (Gwynna) Goldman of Mount Carmel; many dear nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 9, 2025, in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.
Graveside Services will be 1:30 p.m., Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Allendale Cemetery. All times listed are central standard time.
The family has requested no flowers be sent. Memorial contributions may be made in Joyce's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN. Envelopes will be at the funeral home or can be mailed to Keepes Funeral Home, 1500 North Cherry Street, Mount Carmel, IL 62863.
