Joyce Ann Tio beloved mother, "jamma," sister, daughter and friend passed away peacefully on Nov. 19, 2023, at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital, St. Joseph, at the age of 52.
Cremation has taken place and at this time, the family will be remembering Joyce privately. Online condolences accepted at www.PikeFH.com.
Joyce was born on May 21, 1971, the daughter of Gary and Patricia (Schedler) Zavoral Sr.
On March 30, 1992, she married her one true love, Alfred Tio III, and he preceded her in death in 2011; they have been reunited again.
She grew up with a love for nature and spent much of her time outdoors, gardening and taking walks on the beach in search of beach glass. She also had a passion for being in the kitchen and loved making delicious meals, jellies and applesauce for her family. Joyce's greatest joy in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren, whom she adored and cherished deeply.
Survivors include her children: Jordan (Timothy) Kreitner, Kirsten Tio, Madison Tio, Justin Tio, Ian Tio and Payton Tio; stepdaughter: Allison Valenti; grandchildren: Brayden, Harmoni, Autumn, Oliver, Alex, Samuel, Olivia; and her siblings: Katherine (Alan) Heritz, Gary (Cathy) Zavoral Jr., Chad (Leah) Zavoral, Joel (Mary) Zavoral, John (Victoria) Zavoral, Michael (Sarah) Zavoral and Nichole Lentz.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.

Girl Scout Troop 51030
November 22, 2023
Girl Scout troop 51030 is very sad to hear of Joyce's passing. Madison and Harmoni were both a part of our troop and Joyce was an active cookie seller. She went above and beyond to help sell cookies even after the girls left the troop. She was always quick to say hello when seen in the grocery store or at school functions. She will be greatly missed in the community. Thank you Joyce for everything.
