Joyce was born May, 14, 1943 in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Benjamine Thomas Shelton and the late Georgia Stitcher Shelton. She a Lounge Manager at VFW in Carrollton. Joyce liked to go back to her hometown of Lawrenceburg, TN to visit and remind her of old times growing up there. She loved painting and sewing but her true passion was working on her flowers. Joyce was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW. She grew up Baptist but converted to Seven Day Adventist.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Gary Glynn Treadwell of Carrollton, daughters Amanda McNutt of Tallapoosa, Misty McNutt of Haleyville, AL, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
In keeping with her wishes, she was cremated.
