Joyce Arlene Vance, age 91 of Beloit WI and formerly of Steelville, MO passed away on February 19, 2026, at Alden Meadow Park Health Care Center in Clinton, WI. She was born in Belvidere, IL on February 6, 1935, the daughter of Otto and Bertha (Ahrens) Dollman. She grew up in Union IL and graduated from Marengo, IL High School in 1955.
Joyce married Raymond D. Vance on November 21, 1975. They resided in the Union, IL area until 1999 when they moved to Steelville, MO. Joyce worked at various jobs during her lifetime but was primarily a homemaker. She was a devout Christian and attended various churches throughout her life. She enjoyed being with family, knitting, working with jigsaw puzzles and doing word search.
Joyce Vance is survived by her daughter, Jill (Andrew) Slown of Beloit, WI; two grandsons, James Slown and Alexander Slown; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Vance on July 1, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Roy (Lillian) Dollman and Charles (Joann) Dollman and her sister, Jane (Henry) Freise and infant sister, Gene Dollman.
Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026, 1:00 p.m. at Liberty Cemetery, Steelville, MO with Pastor Bob Coleman, officiating.
