Joyce Ann Wright

Funeral services for Joyce Ann Wright, Age 82 of Lindale, Texas, are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home Chapel in Lindale with Pastor Fred McWhorter and George Goynes officiating. Interment will follow at Hopewell Cemetery in Lindale.

Joyce passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on December 17, 2025, at her home. She was born December 11, 1943, in Bradley, Arkansas to the late Jesse Coleman and Martha Virginia (Gennings) Thompson. After high school, Joyce met and married the love of her life, Benjamin Wright, Sr. They married on August 5, 1967. They moved to Lindale in 1970 and enjoyed 44 years of marriage together.

Joyce was a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Daughter, Sister, and Friend. She was known for her deep faith in Jesus Christ, her sweet spirit and unwavering Love for her family and friends. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church, where she attended faithfully. She loved gardening, cooking, painting, and was a loving homemaker, taking care of her family.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Wright, Sr., brother Norman Thompson, and niece Kimberly Thompson.

She is survived by her children Ben and wife, Josie Wright of Lindale, TX, Lisa and husband, Joe Bethany of Lindale, TX; brothers Curt and wife, Cindy Thompson of Gladewater, TX, David and wife, Kathy Thompson of Tyler, TX, Bruce and wife, Jackie Thompson of Whitehouse, TX, Rick and wife, Sandy Thompson of Lindale, TX, Dan and wife, Gina Thompson of Lindale, TX, and Joe and wife Gwen Thompson of Tyler, TX; Grandchildren, Caitlin Bethany and fiancé Gavin Drewry, Emma Bethany, and Brady Bethany; One Great-Grand-daughter Bella Drewry and numerous other loving family members and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Rick Thompson, Dan Thompson, Joe Thompson, Terry Thompson, Wesley Thompson, and Ethan Thompson.

Honorary pallbearers-David Thompson, Bruce Thompson and Curt Thompson.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday December 22, 2025 at Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale, TX.
