Louise Pemberton Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home on Jan. 13, 2026.
Funeral services for Louise Pemberton are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 16, 2026, at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home Chapel in Lindale with Marc Walvoord and Jason Teague officiating. Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tyler.

Louise passed from this earth on January 12, 2026, and went to be with her Lord and Savior at the age of 101 years. She was born on May 10th in 1924 to her parents William and Viola Boldin in the small sawmill town of Manning, Texas. After growing up near Huntington, Texas the family moved to Dallas, Texas where she graduated from High School. Shorty there after she met her future husband, Earl Clifford Pemberton. With a war coming on the courtship was short and they were married January 10, 1941. Clifford was drafted and served during the war in the 82nd airborne as a paratrooper and back home Louise worked for the Quartermaster in the Women's building at Fair Park in Dallas in support of the troops.

After the war, they moved to the Pleasant Grove area of Dallas where they raised a family with four children. During this time the family was very involved in their church, John Knox Presbyterian Church. Then in 1963 the family bought a farm and moved to Lindale where Louise rekindled her love of the county life. At this point the family started attending the First Methodist Church of Lindale. During the years before her retirement, she worked as a receptionist and bookkeeper for a doctor's office. After her retirement she volunteered for Mother Francis hospital for many years. During all these years she continued her love of grandkids, gardening, mowing, birds, and sitting around a campfire with her kids and grandkids.

She is survived by daughter Dianna Harris, daughter-in-law Jeannie Pemberton, daughter Judith Starr Kitchen, son Larry Pemberton and wife Krista, and sister Wanda Elliott. Along with twelve grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Clifford Pemberton, son Earl Michael Pemberton, son-in-law Earl Harris, son-in-law Kuma Star Kitchen, mother and father, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Serving as pallbearers will be her loving grandsons.

Louise and her family are so appreciative for wonderful care and love of Suzanne Wheeler and Clara Segrest whose dedication and care allowed Louise to remain in her home past her 101st birthday.

Also, we're very thankful for the wonderful care the nurses and staff of Briarcliff Heath Center in Tyler and the love and friendship Mother received during the past seven months.

We are also very grateful for the loving care and comfort that Kindful Heath Hospice has blessed Louise with during her last days.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that any donations be made to ChristPoint Methodist Church-Lindale, or to the ministry of Seeds of Hope, https://www.continuetogive.com/SeedsofHope, or the charity of your choice.
