Joye Drotar Obituary
to the late James Robert and Mary Montee (Justice) Shope.
In addition to her parents, Joye was preceded in death by her son James Scott Monroe, sister Billie Berte (Shope) Harrell, granddaughter Isla Santello and former husbands Robert S. Monroe, Sr. and Layton T. Corbin.
Joye will be greatly missed and held forever in our hearts by her sister Mary Robbin (Mitchell) Shope Houston, her husband of seventeen years, John Michael Drotar and their blended family. Children Robert S. (Donna) Monroe Jr of St. Louis, MO, Amy (Kevin) Prue of Madison, CT, Megan (Greg) Covino of Branford, CT and Katy (Todd) Santello of Birmingham, AL. Grandchildren James R. McGowan, Robert S. (Meghan) Monroe III, Brandon P. Monroe, Macy (Sarah Lewis) Monroe, Nicholas (Jennifer) Prue, Alexandra Prue, Michael Covino, Ryan Covino, Christian Covino, Emma Santello and Molly Santello. Great grandchildren Emmett Cole Monroe, Cayleigh Prue and Kennedy Prue. Joye will also be deeply missed by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made in Joye's name to American Arthritis Foundation, Donate life Connecticut or to Brevard County SPCA.
