It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jozef Brett Matuszewski, who left this world on October 17, 2025, at the tender age of 27. Jozef was born on January 19, 1998, in Warner Robins, Georgia, and grew to be a beacon of light to those who knew him.
Jozef was a beloved son, preceded in death by his dear mother, Brenda Brooks, and is survived by his devoted father, Josef Matuszewski, who resides in Warner Robins. Jozef's impact on his family and friends was immeasurable, characterized by his kindness and infectious sense of humor. An alumnus of Houston County High School, Jozef showcased an incredible intellect that reflected in everything he did. A true enthusiast of video games and Japanese culture, he often immersed himself in the realms of PlayStation gaming, displaying a talent for creativity that led him to create his own content on YouTube. His curiosity about the world around him pushed him to explore various interests, broadening his horizons and deepening his relationships. Jozef's life was marked by a genuine joy in connecting with others, engaging in laughter, and sharing his passions. His unwavering support and friendship enriched the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. He will be remembered not just for his achievements or interests, but for the warmth he brought into every room. In the coming days, a celebration of Jozef's life will be held, details of which will be shared with family and friends.
As we honor Jozef's journey, we encourage everyone to reflect on the joy he brought into their lives and carry forward his spirit of kindness, curiosity, and creativity. Jozef Brett Matuszewski may have left us far too soon, but his legacy will continue to inspire those who were touched by his life. May he rest in peace, forever remembered in our hearts.
"I was killed with a sword and burnt to ashes. My life can't get any worse, Oh, that's right, I'm getting eaten by a Martian. I don't have to. I mean, I don' want to go to Deadving." - Brett
