Juan Alberto Alvarez, 46 years old passed away suddenly September 25, 2024. Juan was born on December 2, 1977 in Tangancicuaro, Michoacan, Mexico to Jesus Alvarez and Maria Trinidad Leyva.
Juan grew up in Wasco, CA. As a young boy he loved sneaking out of the house to play and hang out with his life time (homies); Gabriel(Jug), Ramon, and friends that passed Simon and Lalo. Juan attended Elementary school and Wasco Union High school. After High school he had several jobs for a few years before settling at the oil fields and had been working there for the past 20 years.
Juan and Eva met at the age of 12 and13 , reconnecting ten years later and married in November 16, 2000 in Bakersfield, CA. They were married for 23 years. Enjoyed watching movies, taking vacations to Las Vegas, the beach and cruising around. Juan liked playing sports and board games with his family. He also enjoyed watching sports and was a huge fan of the Lakers and fanatic of the Raiders, he loved his truck, his dogs,( Kaya, Bruno, Cujo, Max and Daisy), getting together with friends and family (barbecuing) and was very proud of his accomplishments to date.
Juan is survived by his wife Eva of Wasco, Ca; His children Tony, Luis, Beto, Fernie and Angie all of Wasco Ca. His siblings Jesus Alvarez from Wasco Ca, Raul(Lety) Alvarez Wasco Ca, Maria Alvarez (Octavio Raya) from Wasco Ca, Mary(Argel) Fuentes from Bakersfield Ca, Alejandra Leyva from Shafter Ca, Isabel(Angel) Silva from Salt Lake City, Utah, Teresa (Fredy) Luque from Shafter Ca.; His grandson Damion Alvarez; and many nieces and nephews.
Juan was preceded in death by his parents Jesus and Trinidad Alvarez and brother Rogelio Alvarez.
A funeral service will be held at Basham Funeral Care, 343 State Ave., Shafter CA 93263 at 5:00pm 8:00pm on October 17th 2024. The mass will be held on October 18th at 10:00am at St.Johns Catholic Church, 1300 9th Pl, Wasco, CA 93280. Followed by the burial at Wasco memorial park, 300 Leonard Ave, Wasco CA 93280.
