Juan Manuel Blancarte Arvizu, 55 of Santa Rosa, NM passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025.
Juan was born September 5, 1969 in Nuevos Casas Grandes, Chihuahua, Mexico to Tereso Blancarte and Teresa Arvizu. He was raised in Nuevos Casas Grandes and later made his home in Santa Rosa in September 2010.
Juan was married to Lucia Varela Holguin in 1987. A life-long Catholic, he was a parishioner at St. Rose of Lima. In his career, Juan worked for McDonald’s and Days Inn Hotel in Santa Rosa. In his spare time, Juan was an avid fan of the Arizona Diamondbacks and Arizona Cardinals. He enjoyed listening to music—his favorite band was Los Rieleros Del Norte, and dancing. He was a collector of many things and loved to BBQ, however, Juan’s greatest joy came from the time he spent with his family, and particularly his grandchildren.
Juan is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings: Martin Blancarte, Lecilia Blancarte and Juan Manuel Blancarte.
He is survived by his wife: Lucia, of the family home, his children: Alejandro (Sagrario) Blancarte, Juan Carlos (Erendida) Blancarte, Maria Blancarte (Gabriel Cortez) and Emma Blancarte, his grandchildren: Alejandro Jassiel Blancarte, Dylan Rodriguez, Xavier Blancarte, Amarissa Gomez, Emmanuel Blancarte, Derrick Manuel Gomez, Alayna Lopez, Dayzee Blancarte, Leylanie Blancarte, Amaryllis Blancarte, Aria Cortez and Mia Cataleya Cortez.
Juan is also survived by his siblings: Manuel Blancarte, Carlos Blancarte, Socorro Blancarte, Osbaldo Blancarte, Lupe Blancarte, Rosario Blancarte, Lorena Blancarte, Luzelva Blancarte, Adriana Blancarte and Jorge Alberto Blancarte, as well as many family and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at 10AM at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Santa Rosa, with Father Sotero Sena officiating. Cremation will follow with burial at a later date.
Pallbearers will include: Alejandro Blancarte, Juan Carlos Blancarte, Gabriel Cortez, Jassiel Blancarte, Xavier Blancarte, Alberto “Beto” Blancarte and Derrick Manuel Gomez.

Juan nació el 5 de septiembre de 1969 en Nuevas Casas Grandes, Chihuahua, México, hijo de Blancarte y Teresa Arvizu. Se crió en Nuevos Casas Grandes y luego hizo su hogar en Santa Rosa en septiembre del 2010.
Juan se casó con Lucía Varela Holguín en 1987. Católico de toda la vida, fue feligrés de Santa Rosa de Lima. En su carrera, Juan trabajó para McDonald's y Days Inn Hotel en Santa Rosa. En su tiempo libre, Juan era un ávido fanático de los Arizona Diamondbacks y los Arizona Cardinals. Le gustaba escuchar música: su banda favorita era Los Rieleros Del Norte y bailar. A Juan también le sobreviven sus hermanos: Manuel Blancarte, Carlos Blancarte, Socorro Blancarte, Osbaldo Blancarte, Lupe Blancarte, Rosario Blancarte, Lorena Blancarte, Luzelva Blancarte, Adriana Blancarte y Jorge Alberto Blancarte, así como muchos familiares y amigos.
Los servicios funerarios están programados para el miércoles 27 de agosto de 2025 a las 10 a.m. en la Iglesia Católica St. Rose of Lima en Santa Rosa, con el Padre Sotero Sena oficiando. La cremación seguirá con el entierro en una fecha posterior.
