Visitation with the family present will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel (3220 Stone Park Blvd.) in Sioux City. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Cathedral of the Epiphany Church in Sioux City. Burial will be at Cementerio El Refugio in San Jualian, Jalisco, Mexico.
Juan Carlos Moreno, 54, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, in Sioux City, IA. He was born in San Julian, Jalisco, Mexico and immigrated to Sioux City in the 80s where he lived most of his life.
In 1993, Carlos married Amelia. Together, they had 3 children, Adriana, Nayeli, and Orlando. He was a devoted spouse and father, always putting his family first and cherishing every moment spent with them.
Carlos’s passion for soccer was evident in every conversation he had. From an early age, he loved keeping up with professional soccer teams and enjoyed playing the sport on the weekends next to his friends and colleagues.
He was known for always putting others before himself and offering a helping hand, whether he knew you or not. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and community.
Juan Carlos Moreno, de 54 años, falleció el miércoles 10 de abril de 2024 en Sioux City, IA. Nació en San Julián, Jalisco, México y emigró a Sioux City en los años 80, donde vivió la mayor parte de su vida.
En 1993, Carlos se casó con Amelia. Juntos tuvieron 3 hijos, Adriana, Nayeli y Orlando. Era un esposo y padre devoto, siempre ponía a su familia primero y apreciaba cada momento que pasaba con ellos.
La pasión de Carlos por el fútbol era evidente en cada conversación que mantenía. Desde pequeño, le encantaba mantenerse al día con los equipos de fútbol profesionales y disfrutaba practicar este deporte los fines de semana junto a sus amigos y colegas.
Era conocido por siempre poner a los demás antes que a sí mismo y ofrecer su ayuda, te conociera o no. Su familia, sus amigos y su comunidad lo extrañarán profundamente.
