Juan M. Franklin, 88, of Muscoda passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2025. He was born in Monroe County on August 27, 1936 to Mark and Myrtle (Ewers) Franklin. Juan was raised in Aubrey Corners, and had a passion for traveling and country music, performing with 'Johnny and the Poor Boys', 'The Wayward Wind' with his daughter Susan Marie and son-in-law Johnny Perkins, and 'Number 1 Country, One Man Band.' Juan also enjoyed helping his late brother Tom and his nephew Tommy at the family-owned car dealership and during the seasonal Christmas tree sales. In his final decade, he cherished time with his daughter Ashley and her children, Zoey and Mason. He was their hero.

Juan raised three families throughout his lifetime. He is survived by his sons, Juan Franklin, Tom Eckhardt; stepson Raymond LaGrange; daughters Leanna (Franklin) Higgins, Elizabeth Larson, Rosalind Barr, Ashley (Franklin) Strike, and Amber Franklin; 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Juan was preceded in death by his sisters Shirley Seals, Cecilia, Ruth, and Della Swaboda, brother Tom Franklin, daughter Susan Franklin, stepson Johnny Wade, stepdaughter Tammy Loos, grandson Maxx Strike, and longtime partner Patty Eckhardt.

A celebration of life and luncheon will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Victora Riverside Park, Chamber Shelter, 1202 North Fourth Street, Muscoda. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with their arrangements.
