Mr. Juan Jose Hernandez, 40, entered God's eternal kingdom on October 19, 2024, in Laredo, Texas. He was a proud graduate of the J.W. Nixon High School Class of 2003, having graduated with Honors. He was a part of the J.W. Nixon Football Team. He had a passion for sports, also being a member of the Laredo Raiders Football Team. He had a passion for caring immensely for his family and pets. Juan Jose was the right person to make you laugh. He loved spending time fixing up his pickup truck and spending quality and loving time with his family. Juan Jose may your memory forever be a blessing unto all that knew you.
He is preceded in death by his father: Jose Angel Hernandez; grandparents: Solano Hernandez Sr. and Maria Ciria Hernandez; uncles: Solano Hernandez Jr, Javier Hernandez, Santos Hernandez, Cruz Hernandez, and great-aunt: Hortencia Juarez.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his mother: Maria de la Luz Hernandez; daughter: Angelica Santana; brother's: Jose Angel (Marisol) Hernandez and Arturo (Crystal) Cruz; sister: Sanjuanita (Orlando) Hernandez; nieces and nephews: Natalie Hernandez, Ethan Cruz, Skylar Cruz, and Braden Cruz, as well as numerous friends and extended family members.
The family will receive condolences on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, from 5 to 9 pm at Hillside Funerals and Cremations, where a Rosary will be offered for the eternal repose of his soul at 7 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. The procession is scheduled to depart the funeral chapel at 8:30 am, Mass is to be celebrated at 9 am.
Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Jose Cruz Garcia IV, Benny Urbina, Francisco Urbina, Cesar Urbina, Raymundo Garcia, Orlando Valenciano, and Roberto Galvan.
