On October 8, 2023, Juan Inumerable “Pancho” Leus of Clinton, Maryland passed away peacefully at home with his beloved wife, Gloria and family at his side.

Pancho, the youngest of six siblings, was born on March 30, 1941, to Domingo and Juana (Inumerable) Leus in Tanauan, Philippines.  After graduating from Araullo High School he joined the United States Navy.  As a sailor in the US Navy, Pancho circumnavigated the globe and was initiated into the Order of the Shellbacks.  While stationed at Naval Air Station Glenview, Illinois he met his future wife, Gloria in early 1966. They married later that year on December 10, 1966.  Their first son, John was born in 1967 and their second son, Joey was born in 1970.  After various tours and duty stations, including Vietnam, the Mediterranean, San Diego, Norfolk, and Baltimore, his last assignment was at Naval Communications Unit Cheltenham in Clinton, Maryland.  He and Gloria loved the area and community in Clinton and decided this is where they would raise their family.

After serving in the US Navy for over twenty years he was honorably discharged in August 1980.  He continued in government service and worked for the US Postal Service before retiring in 2001.  During his retirement he came to love the game of golf which became his passion.  He also loved to fish, catch crabs, dance and travel.  Through the years, Pancho and Gloria went on many adventures around the world; among their favorite vacations were trips to Mexico, Hawaii, and Europe.

He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, uncle, and friend.  Pancho was generous with this time and hospitality; he eagerly opened his home and entertained family and friends during holidays and other special occasions.  He always had a funny joke or story to share because he took joy in making other people laugh.  He loved to take family and friends to the Chesapeake Bay for fishing and crabbing or for a round of golf.

Pancho was preceded in death by his parents, Domingo and Juana, his sister, Rosario, his brothers, Domingo Jr, Restituto, and Antonio.

He is missed and survived by his loving wife Gloria (Guillermo) Leus; children: John William, and Joey Guillermo.  As mentioned, Pancho was the youngest sibling and is survived by his sister, Lily (Leus) Lantin as well as beloved cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.  Pancho’s life will be a cherished memory for those who loved him.
