Juan Martinez Muñoz of San Antonio, Texas passed away peacefully at the age of 90, on July 19, 2025 at his home of 57 years "and surrounded' by his four Daughters, Grandchildren, and Great Grand Children.

He was born on October 15, 1934 to the late Seferdino and Martina Muñoz. He was 3rd to the oldest from a family of twelve.

Juan was a supporting Husband to his Wife, Hortencia P. Muñoz of 60 years and a loving Father to his five Children Ruth, Anna, Rachel, Johnny Joe and Rebecca. He also was an amazing Grandfather, Great Grandfather and an Uncle to many Nephews and Nieces.

Juan at an early age, would go into his Uncle's Mechanic shop where Juan found his calling, a trade that he would master and that Friends and Family would benefit from.

Juan enlisted himself into the United States Air Force at the age of 17 during the Korean war, where he served his Country Proudly. He was the only Mexican American in his unit. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, working on cars or anything that needed fixing. He also enjoyed listening to country music,Johnny Cash, Marty Robbins, Johnny Rodriguez, George Strait among others and boy, did my Dad love to drink his Southern Comfort and Wild Turkey. He also enjoyed going to Kickapoo and Windstar Casinos, where he loved to gamble and often won!

Our Father was a very humble man and never forgot where he came from. He always welcomed his extended family and many friends into our home. I remember as a child having family come from out-of-state and always ending up at our home. Our Home was the place to be, Family was everything to our Dad. A gift we will never forget.

He was loved by all who knew him. He was a man always willing to help anyone in need.

Juan was preceded in death by both his Parents, Seferdino and Martina Muñoz, his beloved Son (Our Brother) Johnny Joe Muñoz, his dear Grandson, Michael A. Flores and his devoted Wife (Our Mother) of 60 years, Hortensia P. Muñoz.

He is survived by his Daughter, Ruth Flores (Michael A. Flores). Anna B. Muñoz, Rachel Muñoz Rios (Manuel Rios) and Rebecca Muñoz

Grandchildren: Andrew B. Muñoz, Pamela Villarreal, Priscilla Villarreal, Mark A. Flores, Patricia Euresti, John Michael Muñoz, and 17 GreatGrandchildren.

We will be celebrating our Father's life where he will be laid to rest, next to his loving Mother, Devoted Wife, and a beloved Son at San Fernando number 2 with full military honors. Our Father was loved by all who knew him. He will be dearly missed. May his Soul Rest in peace.
