Juan Jose Ortiz

Juan Jose Ortiz, passed away May 8, 2023 at the age of 73. Juan was born in Naguabo, Puerto Rico. Juan was a Veteran of the United States Army having served during the Vietnam War. He was employed as a Senior Case Worker for Rockland County Social Services in Pomona, New York. He retired in 2007 and during his retirement years he was devoted to his family. Juan is survived by his loving family, his mother Rosa Gonzalez, wife Linda, daughter Jeniene Velez and husband Radames, sons Elias, Dillon and Lucas Ortiz, grandchildren Isabella, Nathaniel, Yara and Theo. Also, brother Israel Ortiz and his wife Mara, and their children Randy, John, and Denise. Also his very dear friend Jose Santiago, they have always called each other brothers and had a special brotherly bond. Juan was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather and friend. Visitation Services will be held on Thursday May 11, 2023 from 2-4 & 6-9 PM with Funeral Services at 7:30 PM in the George M. Holt Funeral Home Chapel, 50 New Main Street, Haverstraw, NY 10927. Burial and Committal Services will be held 10:20 AM on Friday, May 12, 2023 at Mount Repose Cemetery, Junction of Route 9W and Route 202, Haverstraw, New York. In lieu of flowers, family requests Memorial Donations in loving memory of Juan Jose Ortiz be made to the Veteran's Charity of your choice or the Parkinson's Foundation.
