Frank (Cheece) and I grew up together during many summers at the Ortley Beach "family compound". Two different but very close families his and mine sharing connected properties including six bungalows with common back yards. All the kids had access to any of the houses without question. The upside was that all the mothers were every kids mother which meant lots of food and snacks. The downside was that with all these "mothers" around, it was tough to get away with anything! We had fun, we had great food and on occasion, we got into some trouble. Nothing really bad, just young kids being kids. In the 1950s, you couldn't find a better way to spend the summers. I have attached an old and damaged photo of Cheech and me after one of our many successful fishing efforts. My sincere condolences to his family and in particular Joyce who for some unknown reason (to me) was known as "Chall" to her brother. Rest in peace my old friend Cheece.

I was very sad to hear about Frank, my sympathies to all of you. So many fun National Guard times. I know how much Don missed those times, especially the Wednesday nights. You are all in my prayers during this very sad time. Michelle
