Juanez J Brents

On the morning of August 16, 2025 Juanez J. Brents, known to all as 'GG', peacefully passed from this earth at the age of 105. She was born on a hot July 13, 1920 in Stratford Oklahoma to Roy O. and Ethel G. (Goodwin) Beckham. She was raised with her older brother, Walter Leroy Beckham and graduated as Valedictorian of Stratford High School in 1937. Prior to WWII, she married her high school sweetheart, Gail C. Brents, who preceded her in death in 2005. She had one child, Gary O. Brents, who also preceded her in 2002.

Over the course of her life, she worked professionally in the field of accounting, holding several different positions from loan manager for Midwestern Finance in the 1950s and 60s to retiring from the auditing department of Sears & Roebuck, but her primary drive in life was homemaking. She loved gardening and houseplants, sewing, crochet, cooking and decorating, and above all, loving and caring for every member of her family.

She was actively involved in the MWC Garden Club, a 75-year member of the Eastern Star and a devout member of the Ridgecrest Church of Christ. She will be deeply missed by her Family and Friends. She is survived by her, daughter-in-law, Louisa A. Brents of MWC, grandson, Gail O. Brents of MWC, granddaughter, Elizabeth Scott of MWC, five great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to say a special Thank You to all the people of A Path of Care Hospice and her primary caretaker and constant companion for the past several years, Kayla R. Walsh.

Graveside services to remember Juanez will be on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 10:00 am at Arlington Memory Gardens. Services are under the care of Barnes-Friederich & Pope Funeral Home-Del City.
