Mrs. Louise Juanita Poole Atcheson, of Burnett Ferry Road, Rome, Georgia, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, July 21, 2025.
Mrs. Atcheson was born in Bartow County, GA, on May 2,1936, daughter of the late Lewis G. Poole and the late Edna Worley Poole. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Silas Ivy Atcheson, a beloved daughter, Robin Dale Broome, her sister, Wilma Jo Addis, and by three brothers, Lewis W. Poole, Jerry Wayne Poole, and Johnny Michael Poole.
Mrs. Atcheson has lived in Rome since age 15. She was an active member of Shorter Avenue Baptist Church. She was a member of Tony Swafford's Victory Sunday School Class, WMU Group #2, worked with the Awana Club, and Prayers & Squares. Mrs. Atcheson loved her Lord, her church, and loved her family. She loved to take care of her family, cooking, and working in her yard.
Survivors include her daughter, Edna Conner (Bill, Sr.), of Rome; her granddaughters, Melissa K Tolbert (Matthew), of Silver Creek, and Lori Duvall (Johnny), of Lindale; her grandson, 1st Sgt. William A 'Bill' Conner Jr., USMC(Hang), of Chattanooga, TN; her 5 great grandchildren, Mikayla Walters, Lauren Walters, Maddison Tolbert, Matthew Van Conner, and Mallory Conner; her great-great grandchild, Kyzen Nixon; her sisters, Hazel Smith, of Rome, GA, and Virginia 'Ginger' Bowling, of North Carolina; nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025, at 10:00am, in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Pastor Jeremy Albright officiating. Interment will follow in the Dallas City Cemetery, in Dallas, GA.
The deacons of Shorter Avenue Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers and are asked to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Friday, July 25, 2025, by 9:45am.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.
