Juanita "Nita" Clark, age 82, a lifelong resident of Bonner Springs, Kansas, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 28, 2025, while surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., with the Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 a.m., both on Friday, March 7th, at the First Christian Church of Bonner Springs. Burial will follow in Bonner Springs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Appl Orchard Hospice Care.
Juanita was born on August 30, 1942 and was one of 5 Children born to Glenn H. and M. Margaruette (Hamilton) Pickett. She grew up in Bonner Springs and graduated from Bonner Springs High School in the Class of 1960.
Nita was a devoted wife of over 50 years to the love of her life, Carroll "Cory" Clark. Together, they raised their eight children, and their door was always open to friends and family. In her early years, she worked at Hallmark Cards and helped her children with their business, The Checkerboard Deli. Nita loved playing with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, reading, playing Scrabble, and doing jigsaw puzzles. She was also a long-time member of the First Christian Church of Bonner Springs.
Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Cory, and one son, Keith Clark, a brother and sister-in-law, Chuck Pickett (Sandy), and a sister and brother-in-law, Glenda Buckner (David).
Survivors include James Clark, Gilbert, AZ, Chris Clark, Bonner Springs, Kelly Stevenson (James), Kincaid, KS, Craig Clark (Concha), Bonner Springs, Carol Clark, Independence, MO, Kyle Clark (Shelly), Spring Hill, KS, and Carrie Milkanin (John), Powell, OH, and sister Mary Surritte (Elbert), Raleigh, NC and David Pickett (Mary), Edwardsville, KS.
