Juanita L. Guzman, 73, of Louisville, passed on Friday, August 23, 2024 at her home. Born in Sanger, California where she taught late in life the Headstart Program for 6 years. Juanita was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church where she volunteered and was a Eucharist Minister, she was a member of the Woman's Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus, and a 2 term president of the Woman's Auxiliary of Columbus Assumption Council #4473.
She is preceded in death by her husband Leo V. Guzman; parents John and Wini Netto; and her sister Jeannie Rusconi.
Left to cherish her memory is her sisters Irene Clarke (Jack), Karen Fria, and Esther Butzlaff (David); her step-children Leo Guzman (Dr. Jeff Anderson), Daniel Guzman (Janice), Martha Daniels (Paul), and Jane Thompson (Shawn); 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will from 2-8 pm Thursday, August 29, at Ratterman and Sons Funeral Home 3800 Bardstown Rd. Her Funeral Mass will be 10 am on Friday, August 30 at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church 2042 Buechel Bank Rd. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
