Susie was born on August 9, 1951, in Brawley, California to J.D. and Dorothy Juanita (Holt) Huffman.
She graduated Bloomington High School and was a member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary. Susie had a love for riding motorcycles and her cars, keeping them in spectacular condition. Susie also had a love for fishing.
Susie married William Jack Slater on July 14, 1979, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Victor and Robert Huffman.
Survivors, children, Patrick (Heather), Candy and Russell.
Siblings, Billy, Dale, Jackie, Joe, and Linda Huffman.
Four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Susie's wishes were to be cremated with no scheduled service.
Harman-Rohde Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Memorials: Susie Slater Memorial Fund.
