Juanita Williams Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Congleton Funeral Home and Cremations - Greenville on Dec. 10, 2025.
Juanita Moore Williams, 77, went home to be with the Lord on the morning of December 9, 2025, at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville, NC. A lifelong Pitt County native, Juanita was born on February 8, 1948, to the late Rufus Moore, Sr. and Delzora Anderson Moore.

Juanita was preceded in death by her brothers Zachariah, Rufus, Willie, John, and Henry Moore, and her sisters Betty Pearl Drew and Delzora Stringfield.

Juanita loved God deeply and was a faithful member of Wells Chapel Church of God in Christ in Greenville, NC. Juanita was a 2nd generation member of COGIC. She served her church with joy and commitment as a strong committed praiser, a member of the Usher Board, Hospitality Committee, dedicated lifelong Sunday School for 40 plus years and several other auxiliaries dedicated to serving the Lord and supporting her church family.

As a 1967 graduate of C. M. Eppes High School, Juanita continued her studies at Kittrell College in Kittrell, NC. She was a former employee of Prep Shirt in Pitt County and a lifelong entrepreneur whose hard work and dedication were evident through her well-known and longstanding community sales. For more than twenty years, she operated weekly neighborhood markets where she sold goods, built relationships, and became a cherished presence among friends, neighbors, and loyal visitors.

Juanita was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and devoted friend. She loved her family wholeheartedly and cherished every moment spent with them. Known for her compassion, kindness, and unwavering faith, Juanita lived a life of purpose-always ready to help others and serve God with a joyful heart.

Juanita leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Samantha Williams-Narron and son-in-law Justin Narron; her son Cornilius Jerome Williams; and her granddaughters Latiya Williams, Simphoni Narron, and Alexis Williams, all of Greenville, NC. She is also survived by her sister Mary Edwards of Gahanna, OH, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, and friends who loved her dearly.

"Don't cry tears for me, just shout aloud and give God the glory." – Juanita Williams
