Jude Thaddeus Kibodeaux, 55, of Lake Arthur, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023.
Funeral services will be held on Monday November 27, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake Arthur, with Father Jay Alexius officiating.
Visitation will be held at Miguez Funeral Home in Lake Arthur beginning on Sunday November 26, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Monday at the funeral home until the time to depart for church.
Jude was born on October 3, 1968, to Dalton and Jeanitta Kibodeaux. To know Jude was to love him. He was a gentle soul who loved working on and restoring cars, particularly his Trans Am and his Firebird, who loved country music and watching TV. He found much joy in spending time with his friends and family.
He is survived by his mother, Jeanitta Kibodeaux Gaspard of Lake Arthur, LA; his sisters, Robin (Fernandald) Gaspard, of Hayes, LA and Jill (Shane) Trahan, of Lake Arthur, LA, and Sandi Gaspard of Lake Charles, LA; his sister-in-law, Glynis Kibodeaux of Scott, LA; his brother and life-long friend, Darell Cormier of Harvey, LA; his nieces and nephews, Devyn, Ashlyn, Kaitlyn, and Rowan Trahan of Lake Arthur, LA; Lyndsie (Travis) Pitre of Lacassine, LA; Corey Gaspard of Hayes, LA; and Bailee (Mathew) Dozier of Baton Rouge, LA; his great-nieces and nephew, Karli and Natalie Pitre and Maddox McFarlain; his godchildren, Paige Cormier, Corey Gaspard, Kaitlyn Trahan, Ashlyn Trahan, and Bailee Dozier; and his girls, Carey Huth, Amanda Huth, Brooklyn Benoit, and Candice Bryant.He was preceded in death by his father, Dalton Kibodeaux; his brothers, Keith and Blaine Kibodeaux; his step-father, Kallen Gaspard; and his grandparents, Hubert and Amelia Kibodeaux and Alcee and Vernice McLean.
Escorting him to his final resting place are pallbearers Clay Suire, Rowan Trahan, Corey Gaspard, Dennis Hymel, Brian Donnely, Troy Broussard, Mathew Dozier, and Travis Pitre; honorary pallbearers are Darell Cormier and Maddox McFarlain.
The family would like to extend its deepest gratitude to the Ochsner American Legion Hospital of Jennings and Heart of Hospice for the excellent care they provided in his final days.
