Judith Ann Bax, 79, of Jefferson City, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at her home surrounded by family.
She was born on August 1, 1946, in
Russellville, Missouri, the daughter of Louis, Sr. and Leona (Koetting) Evers.
Judith was a 1964 graduate of Cole R-V (Eugene) High School.
She was united in marriage on November 11, 1989, at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church in Mary's Home to Kenneth Joseph Bax who survives of the home.
Judith worked for St. Mary's Hospital, was co-owner of Samco Business Supply, and was owner and operator of Capital Rubber Stamp Company until her retirement.
She was a member of St. Margaret of Antioch Catholic Church.
Judith loved to volunteer at Best Friend Framers, 40 Days for Life – Columbia, Midwest March for Life, Missouri Right to Life, where she was treasurer, collaborated with St. Thomas More Society in organizing the nativity set and Christmas Caroling at the State Capitol for local schools, VITAE, pregnancy help center and St. Stanislaus Pro-Life Walk for Life.
She is survived by her husband Kenneth, her siblings, Mary Brenneke (Sam Backues), Marcus (Berniece) Evers, Alice (Kenny) Oligschlaeger, Louis (Jan) Evers, Jr., Theresa Berendzen (Billy Werdehausen); two sisters-in-law, Elaine Brandt, Janice (Steve) Bax; brother-in-law, Glenn Bax; nieces and nephews, Jean Otto, Joe Brenneke, John Brenneke, James Brenneke, Judy Brenneke, Michael Evers, Emily Raghuwanshi, Robbie Evers, Ken Oligschlaeger, Craig Oligschlaeger, Luke Oligschlaeger, Angie Phillips, Tricia Heislen, Tracy Smith, Jessi Lackman, Joanne Talleur, Aaron Evers, Garrett Evers, Adam Evers, Brian Berendzen, Jennifer Alexander, Amanda Brengarth, Carrie Ahart, Cindy McFerrin, Curtis Brandt, Jeffrey Brandt, Amy Ames, Darren Brandt, Stephanie Hansen, Wendy Sullivan, Blake Groner, Vicky Buckner and Beth Watson; and 73 great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, parents in law, Herbert and Irene Bax; two sisters-in-law, Carolyn Bax, Joyce Evers; two brothers-in-law, Fred Brenneke and James Brandt; a great nephew, Joseph Evers; and two great nieces, Hallie Phillips, Isabella Ames.
Visitation will be 2:30-5:00 p.m., Sunday, December 14, 2025, at Trimble Funeral Homes-Jefferson City with a prayer service at 2 p.m. An additional visitation will be from 9-10:00 a.m., Monday, December 15, 2025, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.
Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Monday, December 15, 2025, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Wardsville with the Rev. Msgr. David D. Cox officiating.
Burial will be in St. Margaret of Antioch Parish Cemetery in Osage Bend.
