Judith "Judy" Ann Brumback, age 78 of Shelby passed away Saturday, January 24, 2026 at the Crestwood Care Center in Shelby.

She was born on June 2, 1947, in Shelby, Ohio, to Robert Hunter and Margaret (Newland) Hunter, and was a 1965 graduate of Plymouth High School. Following graduation, she worked at AMF and Caring For You, and also spent time as an inserter for the Daily Globe. Judy was gifted in crocheting, knitting, and sewing, and for many years eagerly made Halloween costumes for her children and grandchildren. Along with her mother, Margaret, she also crafted numerous ceramic pieces. They especially enjoyed creating holiday decorations, making many cherished keepsakes that the family continues to use for every occasion.

Judith is survived by two daughters, Stephanie (Lance) Holloway of Shelby, and Michelle (Bryan) Day of Richmond, KY, five grandchildren, Brandyn Day of Indianapolis, IN, Marilyn Day of New York City, Jacob Holloway of Pittsburgh, PA, Jenna Holloway of Pittsburgh, PA, Jeremy Holloway of Akron; and one brother Ed Hunter of Toledo.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Gary Brumback in 2020.

Friends may visit the family Friday, January 30, 2026 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory in Shelby. A memorial service will immediately follow at 11:00 AM. Pastor James Robinson will officiate with interment held at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Plymouth.
